1.) Respect Other Players
2.) No Harassing Other Players
3.) No Glitching
4.) No Spamming
5.) Advertising Other Servers Is Not Allowed.
6.) No Foul Language
7.) No Hacking
Build Rules:
1.) Land Is Claimed By Building On It. Builds Must Be Substantial To Claim land.
A pile of dirt or cobblestone is not considered substantial. Neither is a hole dug in the ground. Putting some effort into your build will be enough to be considered substantial. If A Situation Arises, The Moderator Staff Will Make The Final Decision of what is substantial or not. Walls Cannot Claim Land by themselves and will not be considered substantial.
2.) Do Not Build Within 50 Blocks Of Another Player Without Permission
The determination of 50 blocks away starts from the outside edge of a substantial build. Walls Will NOT Count as a substantial build. If there is overlap of the 50 block zone of two players neither player will be allowed to build in that area. For Example. If two buildings are exactly 50 blocks apart neither player can build anything in between the buildings. If permission is given by land owners this rule can be ignored meaning neighbors can make their own border agreements if they so choose and both parties are in agreement.
3.) Do Not Build Above Or Below Another Player Without Permission
The only exception to this rule is if you are built underground and there is no way for the player building above you to tell you are down there then you are out of luck.
4.) Do Not Mine or Gather Resources From Another Players Property Without Permission
Be aware of where you are strip mining. Removing any ore or valuable material from an owned property is not allowed.
5.) No Littering or Griefing. This Includes 1x1 Pillars and Floating Trees.
Litter is considered any block placed outside of your property. Littering on another players property will be a punishable offense. Litter in the wild unless excessive will not be punished, however please take care in where you leave your placed blocks as only moderators can remove them. 1x1 Pillars on your own property will also not be punished unless excessive(for example: 60 blocks tall). 1x1 pillars are defined as any number of blocks stacked on top of each other not supporting a structure. Floating trees are not allowed under any circumstances, even on your own proprety.
6.) No Floating Structures
Structures must have some sort of reasonable support system under it. Pretend as though gravity exists.
7.) Using Pistons to move blocks that are not your own is strictly not allowed under any situation without permission.
8.) If you choose to block off your Nether Portal, you must leave enough room for someone to physically exit the portal.
Players are unable to use chat or commands when they are inside a Nether Portal so if they cannot physically step out of the portal then they become stuck there forever until a staff members teleport them out. Therefore, blocking of your portal is allowed but please leave some space for people to move out of the portal.
9.) Do not mess with Redstone circuits/machines that do not belong to you.
-This includes placing levers and buttons to open iron doors or piston doors that do not belong to you!
- You are allowed to use levers, buttons, etc. that have been placed by the property owner.
- You are allowed to right-click wooden doors and traps doors in order to open them
10.) Do not circumvent the server's AFK kick feature.
It's there for a reason. Please do not build any type of "AFK Machine" that allows you to AFK without being kicked after 10 minutes.
PVP Rules:
1.) If A Player Asks You To Leave Their Property During The Day You MUST Do So.
[i]Respect players property rights. If you are coming to PVP a player you should wait outside of their property until night time. Following a player around during the day with the purpose to kill them as soon as night hits will not be tolerated.
2.) No Spawn Killing/Camping or Excessive/Repeated Killing.
Killing a player over and over on their respawn point or property is not allowed and neither is waiting for them to teleport into their spawn point. The general idea here is you kill the player/group once per night and then leave. Killing the player/group over and over will not be tolerated. However, If a player runs right back after respawning and hits you, you are allowed to defend yourself. The Player MUST hit you first for you to kill them again.
3.) No PVP Of Any Kind Is Allowed On The Starter Island/Spawn.
Even though PVP is off in some zones it is still possible to kill players through mobs, fire, drowning, etc. Killing of players in PVP off zones is not allowed.
4.) PVP At Your Own Risk. Upon Death Your Items Become The Owner Of Who Ever Picks Them Up.
Once you die, your items no longer belong to you. Who ever picks them up shall be considered the new owner of those items. Players do not have to return items if they so choose. Harassing of players who wont return items will not be tolerated.
5.) Killing of any animals/non-hostile mobs on someone's property is not allowed.
-Plain and simple. Don't kill someone's animals/villagers/pets/etc.
6.) PVP Traps Are Allowed On Your Property ONLY.
Traps are exempt from the PvP:Off status during the daytime. This simply means that it is OK if you get caught in someone's legally built trap and die during the daytime
You may trap or kill a player on your property anyway you see fit. The trap does not have to kill a player but they must be able to teleport to home or spawn. Traps outside your property will be removed and you will be punished. The sole purpose of a property cannot be to house a trap.
7.) PVP Traps Are NOT Allowed On The Starter Island
Starter Island is a 1.8 map feature and this section will be updated when that map is released.
8.) Camping Outside of PVP Off Server Zones Is Not Allowed.
Standing on the border or just inside the border of a pvp off zone waiting for people to cross is not allowed.
9.) Be a Gracious Loser/Winner. Harrassing Of Players After Combat Is Not Allowed.
Any players being verbally abusive to players during, before, or after will not be tolerated.
10.) Combat Logging is Not Allowed.
Definition: Logging out of the server to avoid a PvP situation after combat has been initiated.
- Logging out before being hit for the first time is acceptable, but frowned upon.
- Combat logging is monitored by a server plugin and will result in your immediate death.
- Logging in/out after combat to avoid damage ticks from fire or poison is not allowed.
11.) Logging Out on Someone's Property is Not Allowed.
Logging out on someone's property or in someone's house in order to wait for night or wait for them to return home will not be tolerated. You MUST leave someone's property before logging out for any reason.
12.) Stealing is NOT permitted!
- If you don't own it or have permission to take it...then don't take it. This includes "trade rip-offs".
- This rule applies even if you are a "/friend" with someone. Being on someone's friend list gives you the freedom to break their blocks and access their chests so they don't have to do it for you...but that does NOT give you the right to just walk off with their items.
- Dying as a result of PvP and losing your items is not considered "stealing".
13.) Tunneling into someone's home through an unsealed, unprotected wall, floor or ceiling is OK. If you tunnel into someone's base, DO NOT to replace the blocks.
- This rule does not give you the right you start clearing out massive amounts of dirt/stone from around their home. Ores or other valuables shall not be mined in order to gain access into someone's home.
- This is considered part of PvP.
- The owner of the property is responsible for replacing the missing blocks in their walls.
- Replacing any blocks on another person's property will be considered littering and met with punishment.
*Note*
There are many situations that will arise surrounding PVP that the rules cannot cover. Mods have final decision on all situations surrounding pvp encounters. Please consider the experience of the player you are pvping. Are you doing something to that player that if done to you would make you upset? Then consider not doing that thing. There are grey areas that while not against the rules are just in poor taste. For example, visiting a player every single night cycle and killing them or following new players out of spawn and killing them. I'm sure more will arise, just use common sense and PVP will be a fun experience for everyone.
